Mack is a quiet and gentle dog. His ample awareness and kind nature make him a fantastic dog to raise as a family companion. He’s wonderful with our two small children.
 
In the field, Mack maintains that awareness to a degree of excellency. His marking abilities are natural and precise. Mack is also a diligent hunter when using his nose. He moves quick but will hunt a tight area regardless of terrain or cover.  We acquired Mack in April ‘24 at 16 months old. He had some basic retriever training prior to his arrival but he has been willing and eager to learn since he became part of the Marlen family. We are very excited to see the pups he will produce but we are equally as excited to get him in the field this upcoming season.

Mack has NORMAL eyes and is CLEAR on all DNA recessive genes. Mack had his Hips and Elbows scored via the BVA scoring method and has 4/1 Hips and 0/0 Elbows.
