What is the Partner Program?

A business is meant to prosper. But we will not capitalize at the expense of our dogs’ well-being. We have seen the implications of exploiting females for their breeding services and we do not intend to remotely resemble this type of business. Our dogs are part of our family and we want to treat them as such.

Our females will provide a maximum of 2-3 litters before they are retired from our breeding program. Therefore, we will continually be looking for suitable females to insert into our breeding program. There are a few different ways we would do this depending on our needs.

• Keep a puppy back from a Marlen litter.
• Purchase and import a female older than 6 months from overseas.
• Purchase a female dog or puppy here in the US.

Regardless of how we acquire them, we want to provide opportunities for Partners to mutually invest in these females and take them home to love as their own. The terms will be unique to each scenario to mutually benefit the dog, the Partner, and Marlen Gundogs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Suitable home scenario to raise and house a dog. At my discretion.
• Must know me personally or have a reference that I personally know.
• Must be a hunting person or family with intentions to work dog as a retriever. Retriever experience requirement to vary at my discretion.
• Must live within reasonable distance (a few hours drive) to Columbus MS or Opelika AL with no intentions to move from that area for at least 5 years.
• Partner will agree to NO e-collar training of any sort.
